GOLD LOCATIONS IN CONNECTICUT

There is not much information about gold in Connecticut, but some of the streams in the northwestern portion of the state have produced gold. The gold in Connecticut is result of glacial deposits.

LITCHFIELD COUNTY, CONNECTICUT

Gold is reported in Leadmine Brook, near Harwinton and in the West Branch of the Farmington River near Riverton. Also some reports of gold at Nickel Mine Brook near Torrington.

NEW HAVEN COUNTY CONNECTICUT

Gold has been reported at Beacon Hill Brook, near Beacon Falls.
