Where can I find gold ?
Gold is found in sulfides and free state.Most gold you look for will be free gold know as placer gold, and will look just like the metal on your ring.The gold will usually be found in creeks and rivers that drain gold belt areas and best tested for with a gold pan.This gold is called weathered gold another place for weathered gold is in the desert or on hill tops where wind weathers the light material away and makes metal detector a good device to find gold.
If you pan in a creek and are finding lead shot,nails,and other small metal parts your looking in the right spots.Remember 95% of all gold is smaller than sand grains or little flakes .They don't call it rare metal for nothing......GOOD LUCK!!
For the pro:
Find a spot in the creek where you want
setup equipment then go up stream a ways .Take about
3ft.of fishing line and attach to small lead sinkers and put balloons on other end [just inflate them with a little air].Watch them go down the
gut of the steam to see where the gold will

ANOTHER TIP;
TAKE THE METAL DETECTOR DETECT FOR THE LEAD SHOT AND SINKERS THE GOLD WILL RUN IN A RIBBON WITH THE LEAD!! MAKE SURE YOU ARE SET IN ALL METALS MODE AND YOUR DETECTOR COIL IS WATER PROOF!! (MOST ARE BUT CALL MANUFACTURE OR LOOK IN OWNERS MANUAL FIRST!!)
